Stony Brook Southampton Screenwriting Conference 2010

Stony Brook Southampton Screenwriting Conference Presents:

July 28th to August 1, 2010, come for five days of intensive workshops with working writers, producers and actors who know the craft of screenwriting and understand the writing process.

Morning workshops are for advanced writers who wish to improve the scripts they are working on and novice writers looking to identify and construct a strong story. Each workshop is limited in size for maximum participation.

Afternoons offer several electives, including an acting workshop for writers led by Actor/Writer Peter Riegert who shows a fresh way to examine character.

Evenings present stimulating discussions on screenwriting with guest writers like Kenneth Lonergan (You Can Count On Me) and Robert Benton (Bonnie and Clyde), Writer/Director Peter Hedges (Dan in Real Life), Actor/Director Alec Baldwin and Playwright Jon Robin Baitz.

Announcing the feature guest for Saturday night's festivities.... *drumroll* Alexander Payne, director of SIDEWAYS and ELECTION!
